The technological advancement in the lighting industry has made it possible to improve your lighting systems in every aspect of life. The old incandescent filament bulbs are no longer in demand when it comes to CFL (Compact Fluorescent Light) bulbs. Now, LED bulbs are available which can save more energy and cost for humans. These bulbs are eco-friendly and have no adverse effect on human health.

Life Span:
Typically, an incandescent bulb is able to light up your households for 1200 hours. CFL bulbs make it better and improve the time period up to 8000 hours.
The LED (Light Emitting Diode) bulbs are able to become full bright at an instant with an average life span of 50000 hours. You have to invest one time, and the bulb will emit light for many years.
Environmental Impacts:
In a CFL, mercury is used. Mercury is a very toxic substance which has a harmful effect on human health. The carbon dioxide emissions in the traditional bulbs and the CFLs are more and may warm up the greenhouse gases.
LEDs have no mercury use and heat losses. LED bulbs are cool, and you can touch the bulb any time to replace it. You can touch LEDs instantly after three to four hours of its running. With the same amount of energy, LEDs emit better light than others. Thus, lower energy consumption decreases carbon dioxide emissions.
Sensitivity:
The climate and weather changes have no effect on LEDs. The incandescent bulb has some limited impact of temperature changes while the CFL bulbs may not work below minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit and above plus 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
If there is humidity in the atmosphere, then the CFL and the incandescent bulb will not run properly. CFL bulbs may catch on fire, smoke and omit an odor. LED bulbs are safe to use in all conditions.
